INCREASE OF CAPITAL.
According to the Sino-Gertnan contract, the capital of the Eurasia
Aviation Corporation was originally fixed at $3,000,000 (national currency)
subscribed in the proportions of two to one by the Chinese
Govertiment and Luft Hasssa respectively. While this sum was considered
adequate at the beginning, the political complications which
have unexpectedly arisen to delay the inter-continental service have
resulted in heavy loss to the company, so that what remains of the
capital is now insufficient for the accomplishment of the objects intended.
In Octobe; 1933, at a meeting of the Board 0f Directors,
it was therefore decided to increase the capita! to $5,100,000, subscribed
in the same proportions as before. The resolution was passed
by the shareholders and duly ratified by the Chinese Government
through the Ministry of Communications. The said increase being
subsequently considered insufficient, the capita' has since been raised
by another sum of $2,400,000 bringing the total to $7,500,000, raised
yet again to $9,000,000 which should prove quite ample for all putposes
in the future.
