This pub at 471 Panyu Lu opposite the Holiday Inn opened in June. It's managed by ballet dancer David Wang Yilin who wanted to inject a sense of the colour and movement of ballet into the decor of the bar. So he got a ballet set designer to come and do a set murals with swirls of plaster highlighted by impressionistically powerful images of dancers and dance. The plaster gives the murals a 3-D feel which sets them apart from normal paintings, and the simple lines and colours, starkly lit from above, are striking.
